With news filtering through that Abel has had interest shown from top European clubs such as Arsenal, Inter Milan & Tottenham Hotspur, he has announced that he will STAY at Palermo because of the debt he owes to his Italian club Palermo.
Abel said: ‘Arsenal want me? I’m very good at Palermo, both in the town and with my team-mates.
‘I’d love to stay another two or three years here, because it would make me grow. Then in the future if there will be an offer by a great club, we’ll see.’
‘My first experience I had in Italy during a trial with Genoa, they didn’t take me for my heart problems, while Palermo believed in me and got me the surgery,’ he said. ‘For this also, I’ll always thank the Rosanero club.’
